Snow! NaNoWriMo Day 21

Words Today: 2023

Total Words: 47,756

Closing in on 50,000 words for NaNo. I am feeling more fluid in my writing than I have in years. This was probably aided by the first snow of the season. While I didn’t have a lot of time to write today, I did get to park myself by the fire in a less-than-comfortable chair and write for an hour. A slight turn of the head allowed me to witness the snow. It was slow and beautiful. Giant flakes danced their way down to rest on branches and ground, bringing back to life a landscape that only hours ago had been weary and worn. A juvenile male cardinal rested on a tree close to the window, in stark contrast to the white and evergreen landscape.

The world was made fresh today. I wished only to sit and craft, with breaks to read and nap.

It was a day of If Only, in writing and reality.

  1. Haha, yes, “kryptonite” is an excellent good way to refer to social media. The weekend writing has been good! 3,900 words to write by midnight to hit my 10k goal for the weekend.

Did you hit 50k yet? If your novel as half as lovely as your blog posts, the world is in for a treat. 🙂
