Fallow. Day 14 of 100 Days of Writing

Today was an ugly writing day, awful strings of words followed by thoughts completely infertile.

Tomorrow I’ll determine if there is anything that can be nudged from today’s fertilizer.

My rule is to avoid leaving myself in a position to start a day’s writing with a blank sheet. Never finish a day’s writing at the end of a chapter or an entry or a story. Always be a few words into tomorrow’s work.  I made the choice to break this rule rather than break my spirit.

Tomorrow the face off against the blank page.
